Rage Against The Machine – War Within A Breath (live)

War Within a Breath Lyrics
By: Rage Against The Machine

War within a Breath

Every official that come in كل مسؤول يأتي

Cripples us leaves us maimed

Silent and tamed

And with our flesh and bones

He builds his homes

Southern fist

Rise through tha jungle mist

Clenched to smash power so cancerous

Black flag and a red star

A rising sun loomin over Los Angeles

Yes for Raza livin in La La

Like Gaza on to tha dawn Intifada

Reach for the lessons tha masked pass on

Seize tha metropolis

Its you it’s built on

Everything can change on a new year’s day

Everything can change on a new year’s day

Everything can change on a new year’s day

And everything changed on a new years day, come on.

War within a breath

Its land or death

Their existence is a crime

Their seat, their robe, their tie

Their land deeds

Their hired guns

They’re tha crime

Shots heard underground round the rapture

World’s eye captured

At last is a Mexican pasture

Tha masked screaming land or death

Within a breath

A war from the depth of time

Shot four puppet governors in a line

Shook all tha world banker

Who think they can rhyme

Shot the landlords who knew it was mine

Yes it’s a war from the depth of time

And everything can change on new year’s day

And everything can change on new year’s day

Everything can change on a new year’s day

And everything can change on new year’s day

War within a breath

Its land or death

Maroc Disconnect

Hello,

My internet connection sucks. I might be mistaken, but I think it’s due to the quality of the connection Maroc Telecom provides. No freaking idea why. My modem declares the speed I pay for, but it took me about 15 min to write this post. WordPress is a pretty fast service, so… does Maroc Telecom suck? I asked a technician from around here, he said that they have been having the same problem for about 3 weeks now. “Yes, they suck, and they suck our money for a poor service” he said. so wtf is happening here? Does Maroc Telecom have the right to censor Google Earth and provide a VERY PoOr services while we all sit down motionless? No, not even that, we actually go at the end of each month to pay the bill while they keep sucking!

Is Meditel and Wana the same?

•March 26, 2008 • Leave a Comment

The rumor says that Syndicat, a Moroccan Hip Hop band from Fes, will release their 1st album. Syndicat has been performing all over Morocco for about 4 years. I think it’s about time for them to put the knowledge into a CD! We will see…

Contemporary Moroccan Music – The movement

Boohalee, Darga, Hoba Hoba Spirit, Syndicat, Kashla, Casa Crew, the list is quite long and these groups use different means to throw their message out there: hip hop, rock, reggae and roots like gnawa or lyrics from Abderrahman El Majdoub.

Darga’s second album: Stop Baraka

What’s surprising is that all these bands have emerged after the year 2000. It feels like there was a huge jump from Nas el Ghiwan, Lemchaheb.. to this new ways of expression. No transitory phase but an abrupt change of directions.

The question that one might ask is why now and what happened that made more young people interested in these new form of expression. Let’s think about it and discuss it further in coming posts.

revolution is taking place

•March 25, 2008 • 2 Comments

Astonishing! this morning got to work a early enough to listen to the local radio. The speaker was disscussing the issue of representative and their relation to the People. Many people called the program to discuss they ideas. Most of them don’t think that these elected dudes do their job. Clearly there was a confusion around what these dudes do. Most people actually think that they could provide more jobs and make the people’s lives better, “however, this is a general issues that should be discussed on a upper lever, government” someone said. Someone from Hay Mly Abdellah, deplored the sub-human situation in which they are living.

This is all cool and revolutionary. We get to hear people speaking and taking back the Voice.

Thanks Fes Radio!
